Adding An Under Counter Water Filter?

Thinking about adding a under counter water filter to your kitchen? Not a bad idea, considering the amount of contaminants that are introduced in our water supply. There is an estimated 2000 plus different kind of the contaminants and the EPA  only requires municipal water supply companies to test for under 90. That means its up to the homeowner to protect themselves and their family. Until recently most filtration systems were either complicated or weren’t very efficient. New advances in water filtration allows for a very compact efficient system. Multiple stage filters are the best as they filter the water in different stages because no one “filtration media” can take out every contaminant.

The filtration system we ended up choosing is Sun Water Systems brand Aqusana AQ-4500 undercounter water filter.  This filter system comes with a faucet and all of the necessary parts to install. A dual stage filtration takes out up to 99% plus of most contaminants. The installation took us about 45 minutes. The unit is nice and compact and easily attached to the back of the sink cabinet with a couple of screws through the mounting bracket. The total cost was under a $150 dollars.  We ended up ordering online through Better Water Store. Delivery was included as arrived in just a few days. The taste of the water is wonderful and chlorine free!
