I have 3 kids, all different ages and at different stages. So after school, it’s a quick dinner, and then I’m off to practices, recitals and parent-teacher meetings. So when I decided to make the switch to another internet company, I only had a few minutes to hop online and check out the high speed internet providers in my area. But that turned out to be a real pain in the butt. And I remember visiting so many sites that the prices and plans just started to blur together. I didn’t know what I was looking at anymore.

One day, I decided to search one more time. I must have punched in a different search term or something, because a site popped up in the results that I hadn’t been to before. It was a free site that let me compare ISPs by state. But I needed more details than that. Thankfully, the site had a spot for me to check availability with the various providers by entering in my zip code, and so I did. It was great! Soon I had narrowed down the providers who offered service in my neighborhood and compared them side by side, and all on one page so I could see everything they offered, all at once.

Of course, they all said they were the best choice for internet service providers in my area, but I knew that was because they were all competing for my business. So it was hard for me to believe.

After a couple of weeks of getting these flyers and trying to choose the best ISP, I got fed up and decided to go online to see what I could find. What I ended up finding was this site that let me compare ISPs right online, just by typing in my zip code. As soon as I did, I was able to look at and compare cable and DSL services that were available in my neighborhood. It was great! In just a few minutes, I had chosen my provider. I was also able to sign up right online, which saved me a ton of time.
